Donald qualified as a CA in 1990 following a BA degree in Accountancy and Computer Science at Heriot Watt University.
With over 25 years in the profession; ranging from the international firms through to small-independents, Donald has a breadth of experience to draw on to assist clients in growing their business while minimising their tax liabilities through sensible, ethical, tax planning.
Having industry experience, working for a UK headquartered Software Development Company and a period overseas assisting a Research and Development Company in New Zealand, Donald firmly believes in helping his clients fully understand the often complex financial aspects of their business; the better to understand and take advantage of the opportunities that are there in every phase of the economic cycle.
On 1 June 2014 Donald joined Geoghegans, and continues as before to assist his clients in all areas of accounting and tax as a Director of Geoghegans Accountancy Limited.
Outside of work, Donald enjoys the countryside and coastlines of the UK – on a boat or a bicycle, or just ‘out walking’, taking a few photographs along the way.
